The Legal Aid Association of California is the statewide membership organization of legal services nonprofits. Over 100 nonprofit organizations around the state are members of LAAC. These nonprofit member organizations provide critical legal assistance to low-income Californians and ensure equal access to justice. LAAC serves and strengthens its members through advocacy, training, and support. Considering designating LAAC as a cy pres recipient? Learn more here.
The goal of the California Access to Justice Commission is to help create a justice system in which every Californian has a fair opportunity to access justice, to understand their rights and obligations, and to obtain an appropriate remedy when faced with a legal problem. To do so, the Commission facilitates collaboration among the courts, the bar, and the public, including all three branches of government and stakeholders throughout the state, to create a continuum of services that addresses the full scope and span of legal need in California.
